CMAA Project Achievement Awards

2011 PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

For eligilibity and submission instructions, view the 2011 Project Achievement Awards Brochure.

All submissions must be completed by midnight Friday June 3, 2011 (PST) .

Each year, America's leading professional construction and program managers deliver thousands of creative and innovative projects around the world.

If you've completed a project you're particularly proud of, one that you believe merits special acknowledgement, CMAA invites you to nominate it for a 2011 Project Achievement Award.

Eligible projects must have been completed between June 2, 2010 and June 3, 2011.

Earning a Project Achievement Award from CMAA is your chance to showcase your project's contribution to the community. In addition to receiving your award at the association's 2011 National Conference & Trade Show in Washington DC, your achievement will be highlighted on CMAA's Web site, in the CM Advisor and in a press release sent out to the major construction industry news outlets.

Since 1999, CMAA has been presenting its Project Achievement Awards to recognize instances in which professional Construction or Program Management has made a significant contribution to the successful completion of a challenging project or program.

Last year's honored projects included the renovation of an historic auditorium, a new supercomputer facility, a seismic upgrade to one of America's largest water systems, a college dormitory expansion and a new NFL football stadium.

Submit your best projects and programs to be a part of CMAA's 2011 celebration of excellence.

Submittal Instructions for 2011

In 2011, CMAA is moving to online submission and evaluation of Project Achievement
Awards entries.  Submissions must be completed by midnight, Friday June 3rd, 2011 (PST)

Submit your entry online here

To submit your project online please create a username and login account on the new site to begin.

Multiple entries from one firm are accepted. Entries may be submitted in more than one category and may be awarded in more than one category. If a nomination is submitted in more than one category, separate entries must be made for each category.

The entry fee is $250, which must be paid online before entries can be judged. All entries become the property of CMAA and will not be returned. The information and images submitted may be used for promotional purposes by CMAA.

Each online entry will consist of multiple parts:

  • A data submission corresponding to the entry form printed in this brochure.
  • The project description package, which must be submitted as PDF documents.
  • All text and supporting materials must be included in each tabbed PDF sections.
  • Photos can be embedded.
  • Supporting materials available as hard copies, such as newspaper clips, should be scanned and incorporated in a separate PDF to be uploaded in the “Supplemental Material” section.
  • Page size should be 8-1/2 x 11 inches, portrait orientation
  • Minimum 10-point font size and one-inch margins

Follow tab organization as described in this brochure

Make your narratives clear and concise, showing merits of your entry with respect to the criteria. Complete all questions. Each criterion will be evaluated and missing information will have an adverse effect on your score. Indicate N/A if a question is not applicable.

The weight in scoring for each tabbed section is included in the requirements along with the maximum number of narrative pages allotted for each tabbed section. Be aware that if the text in a section is longer than the specified page limit, only the number of pages within the limit will be judged.

You are encouraged to supplement the entry with printed images and other supporting material such as press reports, awards information and recognition, and letters from clients. All supplemental materials must be contained within the PDF.
These supplemental materials, however, do not count against the maximum page limits for each tabbed section.

For photographs, please include full credit information.

All submissions must be completed by midnight Friday, June 3rd, 2011
