Mr. Bennett, PE is President of Rabco Engineering and Rabco Construction Consultants Asia, with offices in Freeport, NY and Bangkok, Thailand. He has 35 years of experience in the management, design and construction of major projects including universities, research laboratories, manufacturing facilities, airport terminals, railroad, brewery, marine facilities, bridges, and highways. Experienced in planning, structural design, and construction management, he has successfully brought to completion several multi-million dollar projects. Mr. Bennett is a Past President of the New York/ New Jersey Chapter and currently serves on the National Board of Directors on the International Committee. In addition, Mr. Bennett was awarded a US patent for a temporary flood barrier used to mitigate coastal flooding and is active with several coastal projects.

Ray Brady, CCM, MWH Business Solutions Group 

Mr. Brady is Principal Construction Manager for MWH Business Solutions Group. He is currently serving as Program Construction Manager for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Master Plan Enhancement Program – a $1.1 Billion upgrade and expansion to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

He has over 40 years in the construction industry as both a general contractor and construction manager. He is a CCM, a Licensed Contractor in several states and a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Utah. Mr. Brady studied Geology and civil Engineering at the University of Utah. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the CMAA Board of Directors. He is a past President of the Southern Nevada Chapter of CMAA and serves as Chair of the Program Management Section of the CMAA Standards of Practice Committee. Mr. Brady also serves on the Executive Committee of the University of Nevada Las Vegas Construction Management Industry Advisory Board.

David Conover, CCM, CPC, HDR, Inc.

Mr. Conover serves as HDR's National Technical Director of Construction Services, and has more than 30 years of extensive experience in program and construction management. Projects include water/wastewater facilities, maintenance facilities, tunnels, pipelines, light rail, airports, bridges, highways and buildings. He is a subject matter specialist for the American Institute of Constructors (AIC) and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), with expertise in project/program management, risk assessment, constructability reviews, value engineering, cost estimating/control, scheduling, document control, alternative delivery methods, claims management, environmental mitigation compliance, project labor agreements, owner carried insurance programs (OCIP), and safety.

He currently serves on the Construction Management Professional Advisory Board at Colorado State University and has served on the UC Davis, CM Certification and Transportation Management Advisory Board. Conover has been a long-standing member of CMAA. One of his greatest passions is the CCM certification program. As president of the CMAA Northern California Chapter he won the chapter of the year award, twice. Currently, Dave serves on CMAA's Executive Committee and as a co-vice chair on the Standards of Practice Committee.

William Heitz, CCM, Heery International

Mr. Heitz is President of Heery International, Inc. Heery is a world-class firm providing Program Management, CM-at-Risk, and Design services from 30 US locations. Mr. Heitz has been an integral part of Heery’s growth and expansion for three decades. He is currently responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm, whose corporate headquarters are in Atlanta. During his career, he has been actively involved in all facets of the industry, including Architecture, Program Management, and Construction.

Mr. Heitz is currently on the Board of Directors of the Construction Management Association of America, an organization of which Heery was a founding member. Mr. Heitz is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with degrees in industrial management and architecture. He is a registered architect in Maryland and Georgia and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He is a certified construction manager (CCM) through he Construction Management Association of America, and a LEED Accredited Professional through the US Green Building Council (USGBC).

George O. Lea, Jr., CCM, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

George has over 26 years experience in the acquisition, planning, design, construction and operation of facilities and currently serves as Chief of Military Branch, Engineering and Construction at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to his current position, Lea served as Chief Engineer, Washington Area Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and as the Director of the Engineering and Construction Group of the Pentagon Renovation Program.

Awards received include: Department of the Army Meritorious Civilian Service Award; US Navy Superior Civilian Service Award, the Distinguished Service Award; 2007 Person of the Year from the Construction Management Association of America and was interviewed by White House staff for the position of Chairman, National Capital Planning Commission.  

Mr. Lea is a graduate of Bucknell University and received his Masters certificate in Management from Darden Business School, University of Virginia.

J. Michael Potter, PE, CCM, RK&K

Mr. Potter, CCM, PE, is a Partner of Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLP (RK&K) in charge of the firm’s Construction Management and Inspection division. His career began as a structural engineer, and then later Mr. Potter joined a construction contractor where he served as project engineer and project manager in charge of major building projects. For the past 16 years he has represented public owners as an Agency CM on transportation, building and environmental projects.

Mr. Potter earned his BSCE from Virginia Tech and his MBA from Loyola College of Maryland. His CMAA experience includes chapter president, contributor to CMAA publications, and is currently on a chapter board of directors. He sits on the board of the Maryland Association of Engineers and is the Chair of ACEC-MD Construction Services Committee.

Ron Price, CCM, Parsons Brinckerhoff

Ron Price's construction career spans over 35 years. As a consulting project manager Mr. Price has managed the tenant improvement of his company’s Corporate Headquarters, acted as a City Engineer, managed a Regional Office in Monterey, California, and managed a number of facility programs and projects throughout Northern California for public agencies.

Mr. Price served honorably in the United States Navy, became licensed as a General Contractor, graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Business, obtained a Certificate in Construction Management from the UC Davis Extension Program where he is now an instructor and is currently a practicing Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and Senior Project Manager.

Milo Riverso, Ph.D., P.E. is the chief executive officer and president of STV Group, Inc., one of the nation’s largest planning, design and construction management firms.  Mr. Riverso has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of program management, construction and design management. In September of 2011, he was named chief executive officer of the firm. During his tenure, STV’s CM practice grew exponentially and its range of services expanded.  Under Mr. Riverso’s leadership, STV has become increasingly involved with the CMAA.  He has encouraged the firm’s construction management division to embrace the CMAA’s principles and practices.  STV is involved with many prestigious projects throughout the country, including the program management of 1 World Trade Center (formerly the Freedom Tower) and the construction management of the new NYPD Police Academy, both in New York City.

Mr. Sleiman has over 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry and serves as Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs for Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). He joined Massport in October 1993 and has held several positions in the Authority, most recently as the Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs. As the head of Capital Programs, he directs the overall management of the Authority's capital investment program, safety program, utilities management, in-house design and environmental permitting and management.

Mr. Sleiman is a licensed, registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. Sam participates on multiple Boards including: Chairperson for ACI-NA's Operations and Technical Affairs Committee; Vice Chair for the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA); and is a member of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Industrial Advisory Board for 2011-2012.

Mr. Sleiman was named one of Engineering News Record's (ENR), Top 25 Newsmakers of 2009 as well as Person of the Year for 2009 by The New England Chapter of CMAA.

Mani Subramanian, AIA, CCM, Vanir Construction Management Inc.

Mani Subramanian is a certified construction manager and a registered architect, and holds a Masters degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Subramanian has provided services as construction manager, project manager, project director, and principal-in-charge for various public facilities programs that include healthcare, correctional, and educational facilities. He is currently serving as the Principal in Charge of the existing facilities improvement program for the California Prison Healthcare Receivership valued at more than $1 billion dollars. He specializes in developing and carrying out comprehensive management approaches to complex and multi-faceted capital outlay programs, using multiple delivery systems. Mr. Subramanian has developed and presented training sessions that address various topics related to construction management including alternate delivery systems and Building Information Modeling.

Jan Turner, LEED AP, Cotter Consulting

Jan Turner is Vice President of Buildings for Cotter Consulting, Inc. a Chicago based Project, Program and Construction Management services firm with offices in Darien and Milwaukee. Since the firm was established in 1990 by Anne Edwards-Cotter, the firm has grown to over 75 employees providing clients with proactive management of the planning, design and construction phases of renovation and new construction projects. For the past eight years at Cotter, Jan has been responsible for business development and operations for the Buildings group.
A graduate of Western Illinois University, Jan has been in the construction industry for 35 years, working for construction managers, developers and owners. In addition to being active in CMAA, Jan is a member of USGBC, the National Association of Women in Construction, and currently is serving her third term on the Northern Region Board for One Hope United, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is protecting children and strengthening families.
Jan has been married for 21 years to Scott Turner. They have one son, Nick, 17.

Palmina Teta-Whalen, CCM, American Airlines

With over 15 years of design, construction, construction management and program management experience for aviation, education, institutional and retail projects. Her expertise lies in management of projects from inception to completion, which includes liaising with consultants, design teams, contractors and construction managers, and providing guidance and oversight on quality control and contract delivery. Currently Ms. Teta-Whelan is heralding the first Integrated Project Delivery in North America for the Aviation industry.

Ms. Teta-Whelan's dedication to the construction industry and the built environment is evident in her involvement with the various industry associations. She currently sits on the National Board of Directors and is the International Vice Chair for Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) International Committee as well as serving as Vice President of the Metro NY/NJ. As an ardent industry practitioner, Ms. Teta-Whelan is focused on building strong
collaboration within the industry, both domestically and internationally.
